The last two years will be remembered as the years that civil war engulfed the country in general and northern Ethiopia including Amhara National Regional State (ANRS) in particular. Especially, July 2023 to date, For Floresta Ethiopia (FE), the challenge was fulfilling the organization’s mission while protecting the well-being of staff members.
Despite the challenges of harsh political crisis and resulting SoE (State of Emergencies), FE has been engaged in a major effort to implement the program activities to benefit the program target communities. Moreover, as part of the monitoring and evaluation, as of 05 January 2024, FE convened a PROGRAM MID-TERM PERFORMANCE EVALUATION WORKSHOP to review a program progresses in the venue of Naky Hotel in Bahir Dar town.
Participants represented from program signatories, key implementing & collaborating sectors, and SMT of FE discussed and reflected on program progresses, challenges observed in implementation as well as key learnings to be used as input for re-planning, implementation improvement & achievement of intended outcomes.
The workshop involved XXX representatives of program signatories at Amhara National Regional State (ANRS), Zonal & district levels and Orthodox Church representatives. During the workshop, participants discussed & reflected with particular focus on the program accomplishment status across main programs (Environmental Restorations(ER), Economic Empowerment (EE) and Partnership & Community Transformations (PCT) programs).
